Here is the latest sneaker to be revealed in Actives exclusive Drop Sneaker Not Bombs campaign. The Active x DC Mismatch Pure sports the tag line You are a weapon for peace. and is one of the most colorful shoes in the series to be revealed so far. The DC Mismatch pure features a combination of premium leathers and suede and will be available July 7, 2007 at all Active locations.

As we have mentioned previously, Active is working in collaboration with seven of the most recognized footwear brands in skateboarding to raise awareness, inspire postive change and raise money for Invisible Children. Stay tuned for a look at the final, and perhaps most exciting shoe in the collection, the collaboration with Nike SB.

It looks like New Balance will be collaborating with stores/labels as we have just previously seen the GIMME5 x New Balance 576. Now, here is a picture of the 576 created by London’s premier sneaker boutique Foot Patrol and New Balance. This New Balance 576 comes in a brownish tan colorway and features an interchangeable side logos. Because the “N” New Balance logo is velco, you can easily rip off the “N” and change it with another colored “N”. It looks like the Foot Patrol version comes with an interchangeable velco Foot Patrol mask. There is no word on the release date as of now.

Today Monday, June 25, Union and Undefeated will be holding two very special listening parties for the Beastie Boys new album “The Mix Up,” which will be available in stores Tuesday, June 26. Ice cream will be provided and limited edition Beastie Boys t-shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis, so get there early! The party is scheduled from 6-8pm.

Million Dollar Vandal is an exhibition showcasing the works of one of New York’s most notorious graffiti artists in Desa. Desa’s claim to fame was not only his works of art but also his hard luck and his involvement with the authorities.

Here’s a big heads up in advance to an upcoming Nike Dunk High SB allegedly not slated to release until March of 2008. These Highs feature an eye-popping bright green upper which features more subtle forest green side panels and a red swoosh. The sneaker is complimented with hints of croc skin on the collar as well as the toebox. Bits of red accents complete the package in the form of a red sole and swoosh. Be on the look out for samples in the future.

For their next “Artist Project Series” sneaker DC chose to work with legendary skateboarder Natas Kaupas. Kaupas who began his career in 1984 was the first skateboarder to integrate handrails into street-skating and also developed his own move called the “Natas Spin.” Besides being famous for his skateboarding skills, Kaupas also has artistic background as evident from the design on the uppers of these kicks. They will retail for $100 so check for them in stores soon.

Here’s a look at a pack set under the idea of “Back to School”. Included in the pack is the Air Max 90, the Dunk High and the Vandal High. The “Notebook” Dunk High features side panels similar to lined paper. The lines itself are texturized and raised. Although not visible, the “Elmers Glue” Air Max 90’s feature dried glitter glue detail on the upper. Finally, the Vandals are modeled after a Crayola box.
